I have been a rock hound, if keeping rocks cause they look pretty, or odd , or for whatever reason I am attracted! I would love to learn the geology of my buckers of rocks. I was hit with gold fever a couple of years ago, I pan when I can, without much equipment, or knowlede, I still love it. And now..... and now I may be the proud owner of kimberlite that I found and thought maybe this stuff was a meteorite or something! Never knew about U>S> diamonds until I started searching images of minerals , finally finding a match that is kimberlite. Now I think that not all kimberlite is diamond laden, but how can I tell? There's lots of little craters with tiny crystals of I guess quartz.... unless..Nah, couldn't be....could it?
